An Evening With Renah Finder
Rena Finder is a Schindler's list survivor who is committed to sharing her story in the hope of keeping the lessons of the Holocaust alive. She is a founding survivor of Facing History and Ourselves.
Born in Krakow in 1929, Finder was 10 when Germany invaded Poland to start World War II. Finder, like all Europeans of Jewish descent, was targeted by the Nazi regime, having all rights and freedoms stripped. She and her family were forced from their homes, and moved to ghettos before being brought to a concentration camp.
Finder was put to work in a factory owned and operated by German industrialist Oskar Schindler, which ultimately saved her life. Schindler is known for saving about 1,200 Jews during World War II by hiring them as factory workers. Join us as she retells her fascinating story, and become a first hand witness to her incredible testimony.
