PROGRAM SCHEDULE

 

Part 1: 50 Minutes (6:30-7:20pm) - 1 credit

 

(A) Examine the effectiveness, ethics, and morality of the United States Sentencing Guidelines

 

(B) A deeper look at "WITH LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL"  What exactly defines justice and what happens when justice and truth conflict. A legal and Judaic perspective.

 


Part 2: 50 Minutes (7:30-8:20pm) - 1 credit

 

(A) Get Real – Respect, Education, Accessibility and Lines (in the sand)

Creating a safe work environment of mutual respect that can profoundly minimize harassment claims. 

 

(B) Discussion on balancing ethical, religious and public policy interests in the private and public sector including a comparison between New York and Jewish Civil Rights laws

Legal Presentation: 

 

Michael S. Ross, Esq., principal of the Law Offices of Michael S. Ross. Former Assistant United States Attorney, Southern District of New York. Adjunct Professor of law at Benjamin N. Cardozo Law School and Adjunct Associate Professor at Brooklyn Law School.

 

Samuel J. Levine Esq., is a Professor of Law and Director of the Jewish Law Institute at Touro Law Center. He has served as the Beznos Distinguished Professor at Michigan State University College of Law, and he has taught at the law schools at Bar-Ilan, Fordham, Pepperdine, and St. John's Universities.

- Fee: $75 – Credits provided by the Touro Law Center • Financial aid available to those who qualify • The program is appropriate for both newly-admitted attorneys (transitional) and experienced attorneys (non-transitional).

 

- Once you register we will email you the Zoom information.

 

- After the course you will receive an official review to complete. There will be a specific code number given out in the beginning and end of the course that you will need in order to complete the review. 

 

- In addition when you register you will need to complete your Zoom login name.

 

- Please make sure that when you log into the course you use the same Zoom login name as it appears on your registration form so that we can easily admit you to the course. 

 

- After the event, once we receive your review, we will email you an official CLE certificate from the Touro Law Center.
